ASICS launches new Wallabies 2022 Jersey, uniting and uplifting Rugby fans nationwide
Lampoon Group held a launch event for the ASICS Wallabies Jersey at St John’s Catholic Primary School with six of the current Wallabies
ASICS, the true sports performance brand, today launches the new 2022 Wallabies jersey and supporting brand campaign, ‘United By Gold, Forever Uplifted’ in the lead up to the July Rugby Union Tests series against England.
Australia’s favourite Wallabies players visited St John’s Catholic Primary School in Auburn to debut the new jersey to the next generation of players and fans. Players including Michael Hooper, Angus Bell, Lachie Swinton, Lalakai Foketi, Izzy Perese, and Angus Gordon uplifted the students by leading a coaching clinic.
The iconic gold jersey, although rooted in history, looks towards the future – inspiring the next generation of Wallabies fans. With new and enhanced design features, players and fans alike can experience improved movement and functionality with a refreshed look for the year ahead.
The new ASICS Wallabies jersey features a technical mesh jersey knit fabric with moisture wicking and four-way stretch, designed to give players enhanced freedom of movement. The jersey sports a new self binding fabric on the seam panels adding extra strength, whilst also featuring an updated modern neckline.
The 2022 Wallabies First Nations jersey is designed by Dennis Golding, a Kamilaroi/Gamilaraay artist from Redfern in Sydney. Golding’s artwork pays tribute to the 14 past Indigenous Wallabies, with the designs pictured alongside the natural ochre tones of the jersey.
